Meet the Thousand Oaks Team Behind Fielding ADU Thousand Oaks

We’re a local crew, not a rotating cast of subcontractors you’ll never see twice. The people who show up to your Thousand Oaks property are the same people who measure, frame, permit, and finish the job. Reed Calloway built this team around one idea: if a homeowner can’t name the person responsible for their ADU, something’s wrong. Every member below is background-checked, uniformed, and answers to the same Garrison Standard that’s been in place since 2006.

Our People

A new modern ADU with wood cladding

Marcus T. – Lead Technician, ADU Construction

Marcus has spent 14 years framing additions and ADUs across Ventura County, and he’s the one who walks your lot first. He’s our lead on conventional builds and knows exactly how Thousand Oaks hillside lots affect foundation work, drainage, and setback requirements. Marcus holds a general contractor’s license and specializes in James Hardie siding installation, which he’s been doing since the product line hit the West Coast. When he’s not on site, he’s restoring a 1968 Ford pickup in his Newbury Park garage, and he will absolutely talk your ear off about it if you let him.

Elena R. – Garage Conversion Specialist

Elena came to Fielding ADU Thousand Oaks after six years running garage conversions in the San Fernando Valley, and she’s the person you’ll see most on conversion projects. She handles everything from slab leveling to electrical panel upgrades, and she’s the crew’s point person for navigating the city’s garage conversion permit process, which is faster than a full ADU but still has its own paperwork quirks. Outside of work, Elena coaches youth soccer at Conejo Creek Park on Saturdays, which is how she knows half the families in Thousand Oaks before they ever call us.

Diego S. – Senior Installer, Prefab & Modular

Diego leads our prefab and modular installs, and he’s worked directly with Abodu, Cover, Dvele, Mighty Buildings, Boxabl, and Plant Prefab units. Getting a factory-built ADU onto a Thousand Oaks lot isn’t just crane work: it’s foundation prep within an eighth of an inch, utility tie-ins, and finish work that makes a modular unit feel like it was stick-built on site. Diego’s been doing this for nine years and can usually tell you within the first site visit whether a prefab route will save you real money or whether conventional makes more sense for your lot. He’s a Thousand Oaks native, Oak Park High School class of 2009, and still surfs County Line whenever the swell lines up.

Sarah K. – Service Coordinator, Thousand Oaks

Sarah is the voice on the phone when you call our Thousand Oaks line, and she’s the reason nobody at Fielding ever sits in a voicemail queue. She’s been with Garrison Partners locations since 2018 and coordinates every schedule, permit submission, and materials order for our Conejo Valley jobs. Sarah keeps a running spreadsheet of current Ventura County permit turnaround times, which means she can usually tell you in the first call whether your project is looking at six weeks or four months before shovels hit dirt. Ask her about her dog, a rescue mutt named Permit, and she’ll tell you the name was intentional.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this page works from the same playbook, and it’s not posted on a wall somewhere. It’s the Garrison Code: show up in the window, put the price in writing, build by the book, leave the site clean, and stand behind the work for a full year. Marcus and Elena don’t get to decide which parts of that code apply on a given day, and neither does anyone else in the Garrison Partners network. The written price you approve before work starts is the number on the final invoice. The one-year guarantee is spelled out on paper, not implied. If something fails inside that year, we return and correct it at no charge. That’s how the Thousand Oaks crew has operated since Reed Calloway opened this location, and it’s the same standard you’ll find at every Fielding ADU Builders location across California. The names change by city. The code doesn’t.
